According to
the New York Times in Mubarak’s regime life was getting harder for the masses
as the rich grew richer and the poor grew poorer. Also this government
was catalog as corrupt and dictatorial. All this problems grew up when Mr. Mubarak political machine won the parliamentary vote.
That was the cup that broke the camel, people were tired of the abuse and bad government, Egyptians speak his voice up and claim justice. Young people were one of the main promoters of the overthrown of Mubarak. This was possible with the use of social networks -as twitter, facebook, blogs- that showed the world the truth and the problems they were suffering.
After intense fighting and apprehension of Mr. Mubarak, in May of 2012 the first elections. Mohamed Morsi emerged victorious in this.
But the reality is the situation of Egypt has not changed much. Civil war is continuous, confrontations between Mubarak's allies and opponents are the daily bread, increasing the number of deaths and the number of homeless families. Poverty has increased, causing more desnutrition on children.
The reason for the increase of this problems is very simple, all capital is used for war. In my opinion the reality of Egypt is very similar to Colombia. We as a country have to think in ways to spend less on war and make more social investment projects. So the history of the Middle Eastern countries stop.
